Certified by London Medical School our Plasma Pen Skin Tightening Therapy is a revolutionary permanent skin-lifting and tightening procedure, requiring no surgery. The treatment is long lasting, instant and provides permanent results lasting for 3 to 5 years.
Our hand-held device emits a small electrical arc from the tip of its point without actually touching or penetrating into the skin. This plasma arc vaporises the skin giving an immediate tightening effect. These small vaporised points form scabs that drop off over the following week post treatment revealing a smoother and tighter skin.

How long does a treatment take to perform?
Dependant on the size of the area that we are treating, it could be as quick as 15 mins or as long as two hours. This will be discussed during your initial consultation.
Do I need to take time off work after the treatment?
It is important to consider your time during the first week following your treatment. You may wish to ensure you have no important meetings or special occasions etc to attend during your healing process. Following treatment brown crusts and swelling may be present and you may wish to return to normal routine once this has subsided. It is down to client preference and the area being treated.
What can I expect from a Plasma Pen Skin Tightening Treatment?
Before your session you can expect a thorough initial consultation. During this consultation we will discuss in full your requirements, desired results, assess area(s) that require treatment, check your medical history and perform a patch test.
On the day of the treatment an anaesthetic cream is applied approximately 30 mins before the performed. We then carry out the treatment, ensuring that you are comfortable throughout.
When will I see visible results?
The positive effect of the Plasma Fibroblast treatment is instant and visible during the treatment itself, however, please note that results will continue to improve and develop over the following weeks. Results will be more noticeable at 4 weeks with continuing improvement up to 12 weeks. Follow up treatments may be performed after 6 to 8 weeks depending on your skin’s healing.
How many treatments will I need?
In most cases only one treatment is required. However, depending on the area of the face or body being treated and individual conditions and expectations one or two post-treatments may be necessary. Additional treatments can be safely done at 6 to 8 week intervals after initial procedure.
Are there any risks/side effects?
ProSkin Plasma Therapy has been shown to be a safe procedure in thousands of patients due to its non-invasive nature. However, as with most cosmetic procedures, patients are likely to experience some minor side effects in the first 5 to 10 days after treatment. The entire treatment area will have small but visible brown dotted marks, which will begin to shed naturally over the course of 5-10 days. Some patients will also experience 3 to 5 days of swelling, especially with eyelid treatments. To avoid any more serious side effects such as hyper-pigmentation, follow the aftercare instruction given to you prior to your treatment. Overall, the treatment is low in complications, and virtually painless thanks to the pre-treatment numbing cream.
What is the Plasma Pen Skin Tightening AfterCare Recommendations?
Directly after your Plasma treatment you may experience a stinging or burning sensation in the treated area(s), this is completely normal. Directly after your treatment you may see some instant tightening gratification however please be mindful that rejuvenation, lifting and tightening effects takes 8 to 12 weeks for you to achieve the full effects of your treatment. If additional treatments are required, it will be necessary to wait until the skin completely heals.
You may return to work the following day. However, please be mindful that you will not look your absolute best during the initial healing process (approximately 7 days). Expect redness, swelling and inflammation for the first 1 to 5 days post-treatment. This is normal but will usually be of a very minor nature.
Please avoid makeup, occlusive dressing, creams or products on the treated area until your skin has healed. Products and cosmetics can irritate skin and can cause allergic reactions. This will slow down your healing process and can affect results.
Do not cleanse the Plasma treated area for 24 hours.
If you have had treatment around your eyes, you should avoid wearing contact lenses for 72 hours after your treatment.
If you are receiving plasma treatment on your face or neck, we recommend you try and sleep on your back with your head elevated to reduce swelling.
If the treated area is swollen, you may apply ice packs covered with a clean cloth. Please do not apply any ice directly onto the skin itself, as this can cause damage to the skin tissue.
Do not exercise for 48 hours after your ProPlasma treatment and avoid any exposure to heat, steam or sweat. This can intensify the inflammation that’s already present.
It is highly unlikely you will ever get an infection from a PPlasma treatment, the wound that we cause is not open. However, the first 12 hours post-treatment is vital in protecting you from any potential infection, so please avoid any activities where you could expose your-self to contaminants. Keeping hands off of anything that comes in contact with the treatment area.
Following Days After Your Treatment:
It is normal for the area that has been treated to be red/pink, swollen and feel tight and dry.
After 24 hours you may cleanse the treated area with tepid temperature water and clean cotton pads. Please avoid using washcloths and harsh cleansing devices. Do not rub, brush or exfoliate the area in any way to aid in the removal of the crusts. Pat dry with a clean tissue.
Occasional weeping is normal and will settle. Tiny crusts will quickly form on the treated area and these may be visible for up to a week. Please do not pick crusts off as this will delay the healing process and could cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.
Do not stand with your face under a hot shower for the first 3-4 days. This could increase swelling and increase discomfort.
Avoid swimming or chlorinated water.
Keep scabs/crusts moist by applying provided aftercare three times a day – but only in small amounts, do not soak the area.
Once the scabs have fallen off (approximately 7 days), your skin will be a red pink colour, this is normal and will gradually fade and lighten each day/week.
Once the scabs have fallen off, you must wear a sunscreen while your skin is in the healing stages (pink in colour) you should continue to do so for at least the next 12 weeks to avoid hyperpigmentation.
Do not have any other facial treatments in the same treatment area while your skin is healing (12 weeks).
Avoid wax in the treatment area for at least 21 days.
It will be ok to tweeze or thread any unwanted hairs after scabs have fallen off the area.
Avoid smoking and alcohol during your healing stages.
